Dogs can be good at hiding ailments. They are strong and often do not show they are not feeling well. As a result, certain diseases are often noticed late. A situation that can have unpleasant consequences for both your dog and you. As a dog ages, more health problems can arise. Therefore, we offer you and your beloved dog a senior check. The earlier any problems are observed, the less inconvenience for your pet and the lower the costs for you are.
What does a senior check involve?
A senior check consists of a comprehensive 30-minute consultation. We will take plenty of time for a thorough examination and all of your questions. During this consultation, we will perform the following:
- Your dog will be fully checked and weighed
- A comprehensive blood test is done in order to test blood count, electrolytes, kidney value, sugar and liver values
- We ask you to collect urine from your dog in advance for a comprehensive urinalysis
- We measure your dog’s blood pressure
- If desired, we can trim your dog’s nails
After the results of the examinations are in, we will contact you to discuss them. If treatment is necessary, this will be clearly discussed with you. The results and findings are processed in your dog’s file, so we can continuously monitor your dog’s health.
