Personal data that we process
De Dierenkliniek processes your personal data because you u use our services and/or because you have provided them to us yourself. Below you will find an overview of the personal data that we process:
- First and last name
- Gender
- Address
- Telephone number
- Bank account number (only when registered to the Happy Pet Health Plan)
Special and/or sensitive personal data
We do not intend to collect data from website visitors younger than 16 years of age, unless they have permission from parents or guardians. However, we cannot check whether a visitor is older than 16 years. We therefore advise parents to be involved in the online activities of their children, in order to prevent data being collected without parental consent. Purpose and duration of the processing of personal data
De Dierenkliniek processes your personal data for the following purposes:
- Providing veterinary services to clients and patients and the resulting administrative and financial operations
- Referring the client/patient to a specialists center if necessary
- Contact you when necessary to be able to carry out our services
- To inform you about changes to our services and products
- Handling your payments
- Sending our newsletter and reminders for vaccination and health check
De Dierenkliniek retains your personal data for a limited amount of time and we will delete this information after it is no longer necessary for the purposes of the processing.Data is kept for a maximum of seven (7) years after the last visit to our clinic. This is in line with obligations regarding our financial administration.
Sharing your data with third parties
De Dierenkliniek shares your personal data with third parties only when it is necessary for the execution of the agreement and to comply with any legal obligation. We only do this with your explicit permission. We sign a processing agreement with companies that process your data on our behalf to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality . De Dierenkliniek remains responsible for these processing operations.

You have the right to view, modify or delete your personal data. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data we possess about you to you or an organization mentioned by you. You can send a request for access, correction, deletion or data transfer of your personal data or request for withdrawal of your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to feedback@de-dierenkliniek.nl. We will respond to your request consistent with applicable law.

Security of personal data
De Dierenkliniek takes the security of your personal data seriously. We take appropriate measures to prevent misuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure or unauthorized modification. Your data is stored on a remote server in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) data center in Frankfurt, Germany. Opened at the end of 2014, this center is located in the heart of one of the best wired areas in Europe. Our system is protected with personal passwords and a certified virus scanner. In addition, our website is equipped with an SSL certificate. Our staff is regularly informed in a personal briefing about the GDPR.
