Sara van Dusseldorp

My name is Sara van Dusseldorp and, since March 2024, I have been working for the nicest team of animal lovers in the Netherlands: Dierenkliniek Vondelpark!

My parents always tell me that the first sentence I could say was ‘I want to become an animal doctor’. And I succeeded! After graduating in 2017, I first worked for over 5 years at a clinic in Putten, where I learned all the tricks of the trade: from vaccinating to major emergency surgery, as I also did a lot of night and weekend shifts there. When I moved to Amsterdam, I worked at a clinic in Heerhugowaard for a year, after which I joined Dierenkliniek Vondelpark.

I like almost everything in the profession, but the most I like ‘puzzling out’ what a patient has! That’s why I do a lot of ultrasounds and endoscopies, which involve looking inside an animal with a camera. I also do a lot of microscopic examinations.

I grew up in the northern Netherlands, but now live in beautiful Amsterdam with my boyfriend and dearest cat Jade. Besides my work, my greatest passion is playing the violin, so I can still regularly be found in concert halls!
