Hi, I’m Katinka! I am 41 years old and born in Leusden and grew up in Amersfoort.

Twelve years ago, I met my current husband at Mysteryland and not long after that started living together with him in Hoofddorp. Now we still live in Hoofddorp together with our cat and our little son Sem!

I joined the team of De Dierenkliniek 1.5 years ago, and work here with great pleasure! From the age of 16 I worked as a hairdresser, but had to stop for medical reasons. All I could do was follow my heart and retrain as a Veterinary nurse. I graduated in 2015, and still happy with the choice.

I am someone who cannot sit still, love variety and developing myself. I find all this in this profession. For example, I am now specialising again in Osteoarthritis and starting arthritis consultations. Incredibly fun! It is also a sport for me to make cats feel at ease, because they are not the easiest patients.

I have worked in several practices in recent years, including the emergency room, but nowhere have I felt as much at home as here. You will find me in Dierenkliniek Spaarne, because that is my regular base.

I also have a life outside this 😉 where I love to go out in nature or to the beach. I like to do sports and do all kinds of fun things with my little son. I also like doing other fun things like going out for dinner or to a new city with girlfriends or my husband! What don’t I actually like…
