Sabine

My name is Sabine and I have been working as a veterinary nurse for many years now. Since August 2024, I have been joining this fun team at Dierenkliniek Vondelpark.

Like most of us, I grew up among animals and was fascinated by monkeys. When I grew up, I wanted to be the new Jane Goodall. I ended up being a driver on the animal ambulance and had fun internships at different zoos and continued my education to become a veterinary nurse. Eventually, I worked for years in a clinic that did a lot of special animals, such as birds.

The best thing I did was spend a year travelling in South America. This allowed me to spend six months in Colombia and study a group of monkeys for the university. I also spent time in animal clinics and rescue projects in different countries.

I enjoy helping out during operations and providing all-round care. And I am going to specialise further on patients with osteoarthritis.
